Unfortunately, this statement is not true. There are quite a few structures that are man-made, which can be seen from space depending upon the height of the orbit, including railroads, highways, canals, airports, ships at sea, fields of crops, and even some large buildings. The question of whether or not the Great Wall can be seen from the moon is answered with a simple “no.” According to a former astronaut, Alan Bean, the earth appears as a beautiful white, blue and yellow sphere when viewed from the moon.
